Clean Drinking Water in Richland County

Clean Drinking Water in Richland County: What’s in Your Water?” is the title of a free, open to the public program scheduled for 3-5pm Saturday, March 16, at the Lighthouse Chapel, 345 S. Cairns Avenue in Richland Center. Ground and surface water, issues related to current and future water quality in Richland County and the Driftless area will be the focus. Three brief presentations will provide background.

• Dr. Norlene Emerson, emeritus professor of geology at UW-Platteville Richland. Will present on the geology of the Driftless in Richland County and how it influences our water quality.

• Scott Laeser, Water Program Director for Clean Wisconsin will provide an overview of current water quality concerns and issues arising from the SWIGG project in Lafayette, Iowa, and Grant Counties.

• Melissa Luck , Richland County Supervisor, will speak about county government projects and efforts.
